Figured it was time to get rid of one of my "Bucket" list items,
while I was still able to maybe enjoy them?
Went to one of our new cheese deli's and sampled 6-7 and came home with three.
I will be back, since there were some great ones to be had, even for sheep milk.
I had a list and the store only had 30% of the ones, that I picked off of all of the cheese on the net.
I came home with one of the old stand by;
Pecorino Romano, a hard crumby cheese at .66 Lb for $20.53
Next was the Ossau Iraty cheese, that went .33 Lb for $12.15
both of these were tasted at home with my wife.
Later we will try the Brillat Savarin soft/spreadable.
I bought a large section and had it cut in half. One section will be used
at the Super Bowl party at my D-N-L's house for a "Thumbs up or down" tasting, with the other section rat holed at my house.
I am hoping that it is like the "Monk" cheese that we enjoyed long ago, when we lived in the Bay area.
Each .29 Lb section went for $11.28
Hoping to find some Jarsberg, Muenster, Taleggio and Gruyere cheese, in my next outting.
I have been in a Cheddar and Brie rut, for the last ten years.
"Wake up, taste buds" !
Note;
I'm sorry
I messed up, the oz should read Lb. (fixed)
Thanks guys.............
I feel a lot better, now.
