I went out today to try some ammo I got before I made the move from Montana down to Arizona. I had bought 3 50 round boxes of Federal 180 grain HST from TargetSports USA.
It was really cheap, even after shipping costs, it was under $20 a box, less than $60 for 150 rounds.
Local gun shops want $27 for a 25 round box.
This was #P40HST1B, marked Law Enforcement Tactical, but had a brass case ? Maybe that was why it was cheaper.
I also shot some of the 165 grain Hydra Shocks that I had from before. The 180 HST's had noticeably more recoil than the 165's.
The holes, 5 shots at 20 yards, are ringed in faint red for the 165 grain Hydra Shock's, and the 180 HST's are ringed with a black marker. pretty much the same point of impact.

Next time I have my slide off for cleaning, I'll see if I can move the rear sight over a smudge with my sight pusher.
It would be nice to have a higher front sight to get my group down, for now I'll have to start holding at 6 o'clock.

I also shot one of my Mini-30's at 300 yards to check zero.
Anyone that says Mini-30's aren't accurate needs to bring their's down here for a few days and let me work it over.
All three of them ( older 189 series ) are 1 MOA shooters with my SST handloads, 1.5 MOA with PPU factory FMJ, and 2 MOA with Red Army Standard steel case.
I can do better at longer range with the 2.5-8x Scout scope mounted, but prefer to use the Burris FF III on them.

Nice shooting, with both guns! Just curious, did you make the mount on your Mini-30 or is it a regular production item from some manufacturer?

It's an Ultimak aluminum railed hand guard. They make them for Mini's, Ak's, M1A's and I think the M1 carbine.
They mount very securely by replacing the top half of the gas block, and a steel band that goes around the barrel near the chamber.
The Ultimak also acts like an Accustrut in that it helps stiffen the barrel and acts as a heat sink.
The Burris Fast Fire is mounted with a Burris Picatinny Protector mount.
