First off, I just wanted to express my gratitude to Old Bear for the Karma he sent...a beautiful, classic Safety Speed holster and dump pouches.

As most of the folks on this forum probably know, at least the retired LEOs, Safety Speed was a company out of Montebello, California, that produced high-quality law enforcement gear, specializing in some quick-draw rigs. Their rigs were especially popular with the LAPD and were featured on the old television show, Adam 12, because Jack Webb, the producer, wanted gear, badges, guns, etc. to be authentic.

Safety Speed moved to Arizona several years ago, if I remember correctly, and then the owner died with no one to take over the company, as a result, they are no longer in existence. So in my opinion, their rigs are somewhat of a collector's item.

Here's a picture of the holster and dump pouches that Old Bear sent along with my old Model 15-3. I'm taking these to the range today to put some miles on them. Again, thanks, Fred. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
