OK, so let's see all your 5" barrel revolvers. 686Plusses, TRR8's, you name it. Any caliber, as long as it's a Smith and Wesson revolver with a 5" barrel.

I've come to realize that the barrels with an inch length in odd numbers are much more visually appealing to me for some reason (maybe I'm odd). :D For instance a 3" looks much more balanced and proportionate than a 2", and a 5" looks better than a 4 or 6" (highly subjective and my own opinion of course).

Hopefully soon I'll be able to add one of my own to this collection, but in the meantime, I'd love to see what you guys have got.

I know the gun is supposed to be from after 1980, but I can't resist the urge to share.

My Model 27-2. Shipped from the factory January 16, 1964

I do have the factory grips. These are my "shootin' grips".

A 27-2 5" I bought new in about 1970, sent it back and had all the options put on, even my name in a gold oval on the sideplate, and a 29-2 5", also a texas wagon trail 544 commerative 44-40 5". And then a HD that I found a 5" model 21 barrel for. Just had the clyinder reamed to .44 special.

My only 5" S&W is this Model 10-5, which I just bought from another Forum member. Thanks Terry.

I haven't taken any pics yet so I hope it's OK if I use one of the sellers.

Haha, you're evil (but you knew that). As a side note, I just bought a beautiful new Springfield M1A Scout with walnut...when are you going to be ready to buy it? ;):D
(it's a keeper)

To everyone else, awesome pictures, let's see more. And I'm still hoping to see some of the newer 5" models like the 686 Plus and the TRR8. :)
