Congrats it looks like you're on your way to an obsession. I happen to have a stupid nice blue 586 with a 6" barrel......

Right or wrong six inch barrels seem more accurate and I get better results.
So a couple years ago I picked up a 686-3 on a trade and fell in love problem was my wife fell in love tooso a few months later I picked up a no dash nickel 586 6" for her. Well the problems continued as my father wanted one. So this morning a 686-4+ 6" popped up on armslist 20 miles from me for $700. I offered $650 and my dad went home with a new toy. The hunt continues though for the blued 586 6"
This gun was dirty but in great shape. I cleaned it up and it looks almost new. No holster wear and a faint turn line. It even came with a decent leather holster.

Custom grip from a seller on eBay in Thailand. Search on here for Thailand grips and you will find quite a few threads on the subject
