The Akinator Can Read Your Mind

Beat it again. I gotta stop playing and get breakfast. This time it was Pvt. Henry Lincoln Johnson. Who is he? He was a great hero in WW1. He was in the 369th Infantry, known as the Harlem Hellfighters. He earned the nickname "Black Death".

Johnson and Pvt. Needham Roberts engaged a company of German soldiers. Both Johnson and Roberts were severely wounded. When they ran out of ammunition, they fought the Germans in hand to hand combat; Roberts using his rifle as a club and Johnson using a bolo knife. They earned the Croix de Guerre, Johnson earned the Distinguished Service Cross, but they were passed over for the Medal of Honor.

It didn't guess Angel Eyes until question 33... it guessed wrong the first time.

I then picked a tough one, Major Iceborg from the Fifth Element, and it couldn't guess her. Apparently it never encountered her because it thanked me for introducing a new character.

I tried a fictional character so obscure, that he was even forgotten on the Happy Days series finale. It took 58 guesses.

Chuck Cunningham
( Richie Cunningham's older brother )

Epic Fail = He didn't know Skeeter Skelton...

Charles Allan 'Skeeter' Skelton

47 questions to answer Jeff Cooper.

The Akinator ran through Richard Nixon, Richard Daley, Lyndon Johnson, Herbert Hoover, Joshua Chamberlain, Charles Lindbergh, but never did guess Hubert H. Humphrey. Several guesses were at direct odds with answers given (for example, it picked Joshua Chamberlain after I said the character had not fought in a war, and picked Herbert Hoover, after I answered the character had never been President). So far, I'm not impressed.

akinator

This is a pretty amazing bit of programming...

Think of a famous character and then click the link. Answer a few questions and "The Akinator" will announce whom you were thinking of.

It's been right most of the time with some pretty interesting characters and answered in only a few questions.

The Akinator Knows All

first one he got right away; tarja tururnen; finish symphonic metal rocker.
second one took 3 tmes; tura satana; russ myer's movie 'faster pussycat kill, kill"

John Wyane, Emma Peel, George Washington, bang, bang, bang. But I figured "those are easy".

W.C. Fields, Mary Pickford, Errol Flynn. OK those were a little harder.

When it figured out my favorite silent film actress..Clara Bow...I was impressed. Shes really not that well known anymore.

Neville Brand took 19 questions.

I got to add a name to the list. Billy Curtis, little person actor. He was in Wizard of Oz, but most here would probably recognize him more as Mordecai in Eastwood's High Plains Drifter.

Guessed Noam Chomsky. Came close, but failed to guess Peter Pan ("Has your character played Peter Pan?"). Called me an idiot, and gave a few unprintable guesses on the way to a Error 404 Not Found.
