Not an aviator, but I think that agility is key. IMO the future is swarm warfare where 100s or maybe thousands of drones act together to overwhelm armor and aircraft. Drones are cheap compared to other aircraft and small. Hard to defend against. The CCP is way ahead on swarming drones. this is a vid from china, I don't know how old it is. Small drones with shaped charges would be deadly.
