The "best trigger I have every felt" cliche

I think when it comes to online sales, the seller may overexaggerate just to whet the buyer's appetite. It's all just words. There are auctions where I've seen descriptions say, "in like-new condition" and when I look at pictures I am seeing dings and scratches or bluing wear.

A lot of people throw that "best trigger I've ever felt" around more than they probably should. I only take it seriously when it comes from someone who has owned and shot a good deal of S&W, Colt, and Ruger revolvers. Experience and years give a man a lot to compare from.

And to answer your first question. The best triggers I've felt have come from revolvers I don't and can't even afford to own right now. I don't analyze the break and pull but to me they feel as smooth as a knife through butter. One I remember off hand was a Performance Center model 19. Trigger was so amazing that I am still remembering it years later today, and I don't even own the gun!
