I couldn't help myself. My friends tell me I have a problem. The only problem I see is that I don't have enough. I'm working on it though. :D
I found this gorgeous 29-3 at the huge gun show in Atl yesterday. Of course there were TONS of ARs and plastic pistols. I did actually see a lot of really nice S&W revolvers I'd liked to have had but the sellers were WAY too proud. Then I saw this one at one of the last tables. I was able to haggle some and took it home. It doesn't appear to have been fired much at all. The top strap above the forcing cone is clean as a whistle. There was one small freckle of rust under one of the grips but that disappeared with a little Hoppes. Lock up is tight and no end shake. I can't wait to get this puppy to the range.

Good looking sixgun buddy Evan if its the wrong color.
:D
I would think its an early-3, N prefix if the footballs are original.

It still looks very crisp
Congratulations on another nice one.

Thanks Chris,
I'd like to start rounding out my collection in the 44 persuasion with the 29s. Nothing compares to the old blue finishes S&W used to put on their revolvers. I think the 4" & 6 1/2"ers won't be extremly hard to come by, it's gonna be the 3"er that's going to hit the wallet the hardest!

WoW, you're definitely on a roll. Very nice. Steel plate challenge here we come !
I can't help it, I gotta steal Road Rats line. " That's one Puurdy hand cannon" :D
