The bug

It will only get worse. I advise you to send them to me I will pay shipping, only then will the fever break. I also recommend you then buy a S&W with the IL they tend to not carry this virus as bad.;)

I have helped several other members this way. Here are a few of the pistols that were sent to me by other patients with the same bug you had. :D

It must be "something goin' 'round". I too, seem to be coming down with it! I only have one Smith in my "herd" of handguns - a 1920s something Target M & P - but I love it. It's a great shooter.

In fact . . . I'm going "Smith hunting" this afternoon . . . gonna beat the bushes to see what I can find.

For some reason, I keep coming back to this forum . . . it's informative, interesting . . . I love the photos and seeing what others have and like . . . only problem is that I usually have to change my shirt after looking as I've drooled so much! :-)

It's actually a disease, there is no cure and most on this forum have it!

A 12 step program is your only hope! lol

Very nice!

There is no hope. In order for a 12 step program to work, you have to want to end your addiction, and none of us do. ;)

You must be very, very careful. A year ago, I had very few posts myself and kept coming back here and reading and looking at the pictures. A year later, do you see the Smith and Wesson Collector's Association badge by my name? Run before it's too late! :D

I have recently been afflicted by the bug. An almost "NIB" condition Model 15-4 got it started. The addiction grew last week with the purchase of a Model 19-2, A Model 29-2, and a Model 66-0. Took $1,000with me to a local gun show this past weekend hoping to find something in .45 Colt. The only thing I found worth having was a 4 1/2" Model 28. The seller was insane though. He had it priced at $795 for what I considered a "fair" condition revolver. He would not budge off of that price. Oh well, the search is the fun part.

I DON'T HAVE A S&W PROBLEM!

Denial is bliss:D

This pic made me feel all warm and fuzzy...:D

Sweet snub collection!

My wife (puffy slippers and large rolling pin) said she is going to cure me.:D

LMOA!

I know it's a crappy thing to do but, I've been lying to my wife about new guns:eek: As long as I don't get caught walking in the house from a show red handed. I just say " New? No I've had this one for years honey" Once there in the safe she doesn't know the difference!

addicts are pathological liars :D

So your saying this is more common then I think and I'm normal so to say! lol

An old Victory Model was my gateway drug. The trigger was sublime and the accuracy outstanding. Subsequent K-frames have only cemented these revelations.

Ok. Guys who are just getting the addiction, you MUST have a K22. Just take my word for it. Once you can shoot cheap ammo (if you can find it) in tiny groups out of a Smith and Wesson, there is no going back. Three hundred rounds or more go by before you even know it. ;)

Yep, K22 was my gateway! I grew up shooting my fathers and still have it today.
