Armed only with his trusty ctg. our hero defends against sortie after sortie. Can he withstand the unrelenting attack? Will his aim hold true under the glaring sun? What if ammo runs low? What then? Stay tuned........
I shot "Borin' Bees" like that once, I waited 'til they lit and went in the hole... put the barrel up to it and pulled the trigger.
That little 22 cal went through the 2x4 and hit the tractor.
Maybe you were using shot and had better luck.

I had a neighbor shoot up his kitchen in a battle with a porcupine. When I asked him why it took so many shots he told me he was shooting from cover because he had heard that they could shoot their quills accross the room at you.
Some of you know about my hunting buddy, our 5 year old miniature dachshund, Missy. Well, last summer around dusk she was out in the back yard raisin' all sorts of fuss. I yelled at her to shut the "heck" up a couple times, but she wouldn't listen. Went out to see what all the fuss was, and she had a possum cornered. It was hissin' and spittin', she was barkin' and yelpin' right back. While I was tryin' to get her backed off of the critter, she decided to completely ignore me and attacked. Much to my surprise, the possum was dispatched in fairly short order. After I got her off her kill (darned proud of it too!) I checked her over for wounds, and there wasn't a scratch on her! Guess I was a little more worried than I needed to be.

Sir, dachshunds were originally bred to hunt badgers. A 'possum? Pfff. Piece o' cake.
Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

A lot of people are unaware that a porcupine has the ability to do that, I read that the projectiles can travel a distance of 10 Ft.
Larry?? Is that you?![]()
I wouldn't mess with a possum with anything less then a .357. They are one ugly animal.Sir, dachshunds were originally bred to hunt badgers. A 'possum? Pfff. Piece o' cake.
