well guys , i am 61 years old and have been doing the buy , sell and trade thing a long time . we have a local classifieds websight that is a great thing for such activity . over the years interests change , financial well being changes and political attacks on our gun rights change , mostly not for the better . all these things affected, in one way or another, my acquisition, disposition and modification of my firearms collection . i was always able to find a reasonable , at least to me , reason for my buy , sell, trade activity . it wasn't until a few years ago that i was able to see the most satisfying part of it all for me was the chase . being able to get what interested me at the time . just tossing the subject out there to see if others that have our hobby feel the same or have realized that the successful chase in the end is as fufilling as the hobby itself . oh , and the list of the ones i wish i had back is almost to painfull to think about how about y'all .kenny

I'm right there with you kenny. Over the years I have enjoyed the hunt as much or more than the actual purchase/trade. And of the one's I wish I had back...I don't even want to think about those, too early in the morning to start crying. Still do a little trading every now and then but not so much as in the past.

I think it's 75% chase and 25% satisfaction in getting what you wanted . I myself love the chase . It never fails , I'll mention looking for something in a post , and a member/s will contact me with info of where one is or someone to contact . One of the many reasons I am a member here .

Well put by all! True our interests change and many of us have sold or made trades in the past we now often regret due to the value of some older models. Looking back now I may have purchased more "limited edition" guns but costs kept me away.

I thank the Lord everyday that I live in the great state of Texas!!
