Now if the Texas Rangers can pull out a win tomorrow. I would love to see a Rangers vs. Cubs World Series. The Cubs last World Series victory was in 1908 and the Rangers have never won a World Series.

To say that the city was happy with the win is an understatement.

I don't mind the Cubs winning but it really stinks that it was at the expense of the Cards.
Although the Cards deserved to lose. Seems like they took a page out the STL Blues post season playbook (keel over and start playing golf).

I moved from Chicago when I retired to Ozark Mo. Before the '15 season started a lot of the guys at the Legion were saying the Cubs have a heck of a team and would probably do great. Being a life long Chicagoan I laughed and said if there is a way to choke, they will find it. Well I lost quite a bit of $ betting against them making the playoffs. Hoping to win all of it back, and more because of the goats curse.
As the OLD saying goes, "Wait till next year".
