My modest collection now contains 34's, pre/post models, 35's pre/post, K-22 pre 17's and an 18-2, 43 and 51. BUT...the elusive pre-68 Model-48 is hard to find these days. My gun show partner used to have one that he sold some time ago. Oh well. How about some pictures of those K-22 MRF Masterpiece's so I can drool on my key board?

Oops. Could be the wrong section, but I believe they straddle two places.

Here is my 4" no dash model 48 from 1959.The original box is a little rough but for 62 year old card board it's not bad. The stocks are refinished with a little wear on the end of the barrel and a small spot in the blueing on the cylinder. This is my only Smith 22 mag. I also have a Winchester Legacy 9422 in 22 mag. Both shoot well but don't get a lot of use. Hope you like my photos.

If you can't find one, you can always build one.😁...and your 18-2 would be a fine candidate. Find a 648 cylinder, a few inexpensive parts, just a bit of low level smithing, and you'll have a sweet little 22/22 MRF in your stable, all with no harm to your original Model 18.

I'm certainly no Gunsmith, but with some help from the forum group, it was a fun and rewarding project. The link below will provide you with instructions and parts numbers from Brownell's and Numrich.
