I doubt if you'll ever see those buttons again! Congrats to both of you! One, for being the type of father that would raise a kid like that, and the other for putting in the hard work and dedication to see it finished. That is the type of achievement that you will both be rightfully proud of for a lifetime.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that little austic (high functioning) Tiger Cub is now an outgoing 6'7" Eagle Scout!!! Mom deserves a lot of the credit too, she was the Den leader through Cubs and we've both been Asst. Scout Masters.

My son is an Eagle Scout and it was always a major plus when applying for employment and he is a better man for that effort.

I really enjoyed my time in Boy Scouts as a scout master. My son also achieved Eagle with OA. I continued donating my time to the troop for about 4 years after I got switched to a different work schedule.

When I became an Eagle Scout it was a little anti-climactic because my Dad pushed me so hard to earn it I felt I did it more for him than myself. The last few Merit Badges were more of a chore than enjoyment for me - but all that said, I'm now glad I did it.
You should be proud of your son - especially in this day and age when not many are into Scouting!

From another Eagle Scout dad, KUDOS to both of you!!!
It takes the whole family contributing to get a young man up to and through that last project, especially when so many of our Eagle boys are also busy accomplishing other worthy goals at the same time.
It's also hard getting it done in time, aging out has caused a good bunch of these fine boys to just barely miss out.

He was filling out the paperwork to become an adult leader two weeks ago (he's 18 now, he had everything submitted before his 18th birthday, but you now how admin stuff works!!!) and it asks about If you are an Eagle Scout and a date it was achieved......
He held off filling out the paperwork until last night!!!!
