The Elusive 10 dollar a box 9mm

I actually saw some 223/5.56 at under 10 bucks...9.29 a box of 20.. cheapest I've seen in a few years?? IMI Is that pretty good? I don't buy 223

IMI is Israeli Military Industries, and use Winchester designed machines.

I know what IMI is...I have about 10 boxes of their 9mm. I was wondering about the price. I never really buy 223. I reload!

I bought 30 boxes of the IMI 9mm just prior to the run on ammo before the pandemic...5.88 a box...closeout at Cabela's . Good ammo. I also got Wolf 223/5.56 for 2.88 closeout. Dirty but shoot fine. That was the last 223 I bought... Still got some...That's the reason I was asking about prices on 223

Bought some Brass Blazer for 12.99 box at Grab A Gun. Still had to pay 1.00 box shipping. Cheapest I've seen. They have something for 12.49 last week, not Blazer.

Today Federal 115 gr Champion ball was right at $250/K in 50 rd boxes, delivered. I’ll get one next week. Joe

I believe there is a $20 rebate on certain boxes of Winchester ammo. That can bring the price per round down a bit.

The locaal farm store in Powell Wy had 12 dollar a box 9mm on the shelf. But ya have sales tax of 4%. Just blow away ammo but what the heck?

Under $10 9mm is easy to find. Full cases in my closets. I knew the low prices were not going to last so I stocked up right before the pandemic hit. Also .22s, .32 and .380 acp. Can't understand why supposedly savvy forum members did not learn from the past and do the same

I didn't wait until next week. Federal 115 gr ball a buck or 2 over $250, delivered (Tax is 7.5% and $6 "discreet packaging"). Last Federal (exact ammo) was a year ago @$370/K. Nice thing about Target Sports "membership" is free shipping on any amount and 8% discount. The 5 box .380 for a buddy would have been at least $15 shipping plus full price+ overbox. I have "a few" cases I bought 2016-2019 for $169/K or less but since retirement it's going, even with "rationing." Joe

It's probably a good time to stock up on ammo . I reload for .38 and .45 but have been taking advantage of some of the current prices on .22 rimfire and 9mm .

I stopped buying 22s. I was buying a couple of the 325s or larger every week. Prices were from 4 cents to just under 7 cents a round. Bought in store with no tax in Montana. I may have enough. I also have about 3500 9mm and another couple thousand reloads. No I did not load them!! In the next week I will have all the 38 and 357 brass cleaned and checked...to be reloaded. There is a lot of it.
