The Frankensnub Project Model 10-7

An excellent concept, project, and posting. If I had your skills I'd be proud to carry that custom piece. Good work!

I honestly don't remember. I was probably in REVOLVERS and MANUFACTURER = SMITH & WESSON, then looking at used for under $150. There are probably more efficient methods. I look for bare frames pretty often and rarely find anything.

Getting the frame with matching side plate was a real plus. Fitting a new one can be a real trial. I don't think I would want to even begin to do it. I'm impressed with your whole project and how you went about it. BTW, how long did the project take to find the parts and complete all work?

Thank you.

I was glad that the frame came with the fitted side plate. I wanted to avoid having to fit one if at all possible.

It was about five months from the time that I picked up the frame from my FFL to the time the project was done. The assembly and rust blue were completed in about two weeks. I left it in that state for about two and a half months before altering the front sight and sending it off for plating.
