they want your cameras!

From Fox News (so you know it is believable!):

"Individually, Napolitano said Americans can always be on the lookout for unusual occurrences, like "someone taking photographs of a piece of critical infrastructure"...

Napolitano Lets the Word 'Terror' Come Out of the Closet at Homeland Security - Political News - FOXNews.com

I participate in a number of photography forums and they are concerned about that other Constitutional Amendment that came before the 2nd Amendment and the consensus is that this administration is getting out of hand. Thank goodness most cameras are digital now so they can't tax film like they are talking about doing to ammunition.

I think most of you know that my politics are slightly "less-than-conservative", but I really hope the Republicans put someone worthy up for nomination in 2012.

I voted Republican from Gerald Ford through the first GHWB administration and I am about ready to go back!

Sir Winston Churchill once said "If one is not a liberal at twenty he has no heart. If one is not a conservative at forty he has no head".

Where the Republican Party screwed up over the past decade is in trying to "out-nice" the Democrats. Massive spending on "feel good" programs and avoiding anything that smells like traditional American interests and values, these have cost the conservative movement dearly.

Perhaps in 2010 we will see a resurgence of true Conservatism, and a repeat of the 1994 mid-term elections (when we shut down the Clinton administration's attempts to do exactly what Mr. Obama is doing right now).

Liberalism exists primarily as a means for the self-perceived liberal to feel superior, morally and intellectually, to the common man. Arrogance is at the core of Modern American Liberalism, and contempt for the common man is clearly demonstrated in liberal politics.

Getting this country back on track will require lots of independent and swing voters to exercise reason and logic in November, 2010, rather than the emotional responses sought by those who would impose their vision of a socialist Utopia upon us.

Watch what is said and done during the mid-term campaigning next year. Evaluate everything logically, don't allow emotion to guide you, and I have no doubt that you will make the right decisions at the polling place.

The problem with politics is politicians.
Evidently it is nearly impossible for Republicans who certainly know better, to restrain themselves, many seem to want to “help us and make things better”. It seems to be the curse of Washington DC. What we need is elected officials who will concentrate upon undoing the damage that previous congresses have committed.

For all of the complaints I have about the Republicans, it should be very clear to all; that the progressive Democrats are much, much worse.
How about the “Blue-Dogs”?
In the end, the Blue-Dogs fall in line with the progressives.

Unless you like what is going on now, and that which is planned, I suggest active local involvement in the nomination process, and the GOP as much-the-less of the evils.
For example here in Florida we will have a chance to nominate a conservative GOP Senator or a RINO, or we can have a liberal-wacko Democrat.

I predict you'll not be alone Scott. JEC turned the team of horses for me!
We've plenty of time later for the "right choices". Now we need to concentrate on a wholesale house cleaning. I want ALL of them looking over they're shoulders, not just the one's on a certain side. The stakes are too damned high now.
