Geez, how could I have missed this thread? I've posted this photo many times before, and despite Photobucket's grumbling everytime I do, I never get tired of showing it. Anyways, here's most of my K22 accumulation:

Plus a pretty nice pre-18:

And some bonus 617's:

They all shoot better than I do (...except that big-assed 8-3/8" 617, but that's another story). -S2

Here's mine, it's a 17-4 that I bought in 1984. I bought it used and had the late Bob Chow of San Francisco do a trigger job on it. Shoots like a dream. Very fun to see all the great K-22's and Model 17's

.22 Rimfire Revolvers

I am very proud of the .22 caliber S&W Revolvers I've located and managed to obtain. I am very humbled by the fine examples you have been so kind to have posted here. Sorry, unable to post any pictures yet, but some day I hope I am able to participate. Will you guys please allow us some of the culls for our future accumulation? Thanks to all for sharing the wonderful photos, I have certainly enjoyed.

Has anyone Got a Nickel K-22 ?

Hello
Here is a couple of K-22's I had but Traded them off. I always desired to have one in Nickel finish But could not find one due to their Rarity so I Bought a Re-Blued Model 17-2 that had a terrible refinish to score the Original Walter Roper Grip's off from it, and later swapped it a friend Keeping the Roper grips that came on it. The Gun I swapped for was a Super Nice First Issue Outdoorsman K-22 that dates 1936 and after taking the Roper grips off the Model 17-2 I discovered they had inscribed on the back of them S&W K-22 1936 from the maker of them, Matheis Gagne so they are now on my 1936 K-22 First Issue Outdoorsman revolver. The second Nickel revolver shown is a 4 screw Model Marked No Dash 18 Combat Masterpiece that had some Bluing wear, so I decided to send it off to Ford's in Florida for a re-finish in Nickel. They both came back Looking Super and drew a lot of attention no matter where I showed or shot them. Factory finished Nickel K-22's are Very Rare & It has never made sense to me, why More people did not order Bright Nickel finish's on K-22's over the years as They are easier to keep looking nice than Blued Finish revolver's and do not show the usage wear associated with Blued finish's ? I would Not hesitate to buy another K-22 with a worn finish to send off to Ford's for their Bright nickel finish if I should come across one decent priced as I Miss Both of these and the attention they drew from Fellow shooters...;)Regards, Hammerdown

my buddy has a model 46 in.22 mag. and sent it back to S&W to have a .22cal cylinder installed, not a problem to switch cylinders

Hammerdown, those nickle K-22's are beautiful, and I've considered doing the same with one of mine. You may have pushed me over the edge. -S2

Hello Speedo2
Ford's do excellent work. Their refinishing is every Bit as good as a factory finish. I can save you 10 % on your refinishing needs with them just PM me and I will tell you how to go about it. Regards, Hammerdown
