Early this month I decided that I wanted to buy my brother an extra gift since I was strapped for cash during Christmas, and since he had gotten me a nice KABAR USSF Fighting Knife, I figured I owed him one as well.
So while shopping online I happened upon something I thought he'd get a kick out of on Clearance for a mere $45. It arrived in the mail within a few days and I promptly delivered it to him. As soon as he opened the box and drew it from its sheath, I knew I had to get one for myself as well.

It just arrived in the mail today, which is an absolutely hilarious coincidence considering what day it is!

The KABAR ZOMSTRO Chopper!

Part of KABAR's ill-fated Zombie Killer line of blades produced several years ago to cash in on the Zombie craze, the ZOMSTRO is an oversized meat cleaver made of a hunk of ¼" thick 1095CroVan Steel, coated with a corrosion-resistant black finish and fitted with a pair of zombie green GFN handle scales. It's got a 10" blade with a full flat grind and an overall length of 15-½ inches.
Obviously, it was designed for taking limbs off of reanimated flesh-eating corpses, but it can also take limbs off of trees and would make an excellent blade for Bushcrafting and outdoor survival purposes as well.

It also came with a simple nylon sheath with a plastic liner, some zombie green paracord, as well as a pair of black GFN scales. Personally, I'm keeping the stock green scales on mine since they're just part of its charm and would make the blade easier to shop if I were to misplace it somewhere.
