The L frame action

Nothing special but...

is the internal geometry different making the L frame optimal? What else could cause such a noticeable difference?

I only have a couple L-frames but I always though they had a different "sound & feel" when working the action though I assumed they are just scaled versions of S&W actions.

I was hoping someone here was going to confirm my suspicions. :p

I do love my N-frames & how easy it is to tune their triggers but I have a special fondness for my 5" TALO 686+.

As a mid priced revolver I'd put it up against any of my .357 PC N-frames & not feel I was lacking in accuracy, function or feel.

It's just one sweet shooting wheelgun. :)

I mean, I really like my 686+ … but it's one of the worse DA triggers of my S&W accumulation.

It's not horrible or anything like that, but it certainly ain't anything special.

Just goes to show, there's a lot of variation in firearms - Not just from model to model, but from specific gun to gun.
