Do you have a list of S&W that
you would like to buy?
Years ago I had one . At the time
I had three , a m-17,m-14 and a 29.
I have far exceeded my list and
they make nothing new that I
am interested in.
It may be time to stop buying.

I also find that I buy a LOT more used guns than new guns. I recently got a 13-2 3" RB blue that I wanted for some time. I would be happy to get a 520 if one comes my way. There isn't a lot on the current production list that I would spend money on right now.

I'm blessed - I have exactly the Smiths I want and have been lucky enough have owned many, many others. I've yet to lose money on a Smith.

I used to have a list. then I far exceeded that. then I outgrew my safe, then outgrew the next one. I have about stopped buying more firearms at this point. I love N-frames, but Have 13 different 29/629's at this point. My money goes into handloading components at this point.

Well if you have the self control - good for you-lol! While I totally agree they make nothing today that I’d buy either, there is always the used market. Just go into that well informed and knowledgeable about how to check it out in a proper manner. I hate reading when people here don’t do that and post their woes and regrets. Knowledge is power.
