The man who didn't speak, a true story.

Thank you for the story Geoff. Also, there was a pretty good made for TV movie about this called: Mission of the Shark. For a made for TV moive--I thought soe of the shark scenes were VERY graphic. This movie has Stacy Keach as the Captain--and Richard Thomas as his XO--or one of hsi officers. Also is on DvD if I recall?

What a sad story. Thank you Geoff. I will always remember.

Barb, I spent the last year or so going to see my mom at a memory care center. I made sure I acknowledged all of the patients and even had conversation with a few. Funny thing is my Mom would always try and help the others too. I get a lot of that kinda stuff from my Mom.

Mom's gone for almost two months now but sometimes I want to go back to see the others.

DG, when you feel able I think that would be a wonderful way of honoring your mother, and might be healing for you as well.

After my wife died following a fourteen-month battle with a rare type of leukemia, for a couple of years I would go back to the oncology unit of the hospital where she was treated to see the magnificent nurses and aides there. It felt good; and they all remembered my dear Carol, a most special lady and patient.

I am sure Wilbur is in Heaven, resting comfortably because God will take over and provide what we as men have failed to.
