Mine was the S&W PC5906 that I sold years back during a weak moment and wish I never did. It was an amazing 9mm pistol.

No other semi-auto fits my hand like my 3913NL and I think that is why I shoot it more accurately than any other 9mm.

That's an easy question.

The most accurate 9mm is the SIG 210, and the most accurate S&W 9mm is the Model 952. And, there is not much difference in the level of accuracy. If you cannot shoot 2 inch groups at 50 yards, you will not be able to fully appreciate either pistol.

Currently, I use the most accurate S&W 9mm I have ever owned....
The 3566TSW modified at the Perf. Ctr. with a fitted 9x19 barrel. The gun shoots into 2"@50yds and is actually a touch more accurate than both 952's, a 5" & 6" which I sold after the tests. I have compared the Sig P210 target and the guns are very comparable. If a shooter owned both, the difference would be shooter error...the guns are really good!

I don't have a target 9mm, but of the 9mm's I have, my Sig 226 & pre-39 shoot well, and the Beretta Combo isn't far behind. Meanwhile my mod 639 & 39-2 shoot patterns.

Nice Browning Practical! My most accurate 9mm is also a browning (Mark III). Thing shoots exactly where ever I point it.

I am not hating on that 3566 but those sites are out of this world, wonder if they make that big of a difference. At 25 yards with my Hi Power I am putting shot after shot through the same hole and would not mind competing with it. I know its previous owner did but I am its second and last owner.

I also have one of the first Challenger 22s ever made early 60s model and it is also accurate. I have not found many modern guns that have that kind of follow up shot accuracy. John Browning was a genius, no telling what he would have came up with next to make the perfect gun.

I am aware of the accuracy of the pistols made or designed by Browning, Sig, Pardini, STI, HK, Walther, and more.... I have owned most of them in my 55 years of active shooting. The first Hi-Power required lots of gun-smithing, The H-K P7 and the Walther P88 are accurate, but not in the same league as the S&W PC guns, I could write for weeks, but there are a couple of things that are important. The mating of the shooter and the gun are essential. The gun must fit like it is made for you. Trigger control and sight picture along with muscle memory and mental focus are key to enable you to maximize our scores. Those of us who have competed know of what I am saying. However, in terms of the gun itself, I found the installation of a Briley bushing system improved accuracy in virtually all the guns I have. If a conventional bushing in a 1911 fits properly, it is fine, but on those guns that require a new bushing, the Briley will improve groups significantly. Most all PC guns have a Briley Ti-Nitride coated bushing. It simply works. I installed it in a carry gun that was made from a Titanium frame and Damascus stainless steel slide, Kart barrel...the list goes on....and it is a tack driver. However it is a .45 and a 1911.

The new PC guns are still being made with the Briley system and I asked if they would make me one of new guns to special order....
I want the Scandium bobtail frame with the adjustable sight 5" upper and they respectfully refused to make it .....too much paper work to make one gun! I was bummed....
Back to 9mm accuracy.....
The 2 best guns I have ever shot are the 952 (with the 3566 = a 952 double stacker) and the Sig P210...
but we are S&W guys......
I trust a PC 1911 in 9mm would be as good, and it would benefit competitive shooters ---- 1911 9mm, 1911 .45....same grip.
I do have one other accurate 9mm...the Doug Koenig .38 Super, and it is really accurate, but not in the one-hole category like the 952 or my 3566.

I have to hand it to your photos, they definitely go to another level. So, I guess the PC models where the only ones to get the bushing? I know my Shorty 40 has the bushing but I assume the TSW models do not.

I have always been a Browning fan, from the Sweet 16, Hi Power to the Challenger 22 series. I know Smith and Wesson has a competitive shooting team and maybe their research is what has made the guns more accurate. I have seen those setups before with those target sites but somehow to me they seem like a cheat.

Production guns and custom guns should be two separate categories as should large target specific guns and carry guns ....
The most accurate guns will almost always be a high quality custom target gun that is properly fitted to the shooter.
