Well, not exactly, but I couldn't think of anything else to call it. My daughter lives on Highway 49 about 12 miles south of Hattiesburg. She and her husband and my two beautiful granddaughters have lived there for about four years. In the relatively short time they've been there there have been seven people killed in wrecks withing 100 yards of her driveway. This isn't counting the guy that committed suicide last week at the cell tower located 100 yards from her back door. Several months ago she couldn't sleep and decided to call me. I was working the night shift and while I was talking to her I heard a noise over her phone. I asked what the noise was and she said "there goes another one." I wasn't far away and when I arrived across the highway from her house I found my daughter and my son (who she called after she hung up with me) standing by a wrecked pickup. It had hit a tree and the female driver was DOA.

Some of the fatal wrecks that happened near her house I was involved in. I was off duty or out of town on the others. If someone is going to break down anywhere in this county, it is usually in front of her house. I pass by there every morning on the way to work and frequently see a new broken down old car or pickup. Many times this is their final resting place and are eventually towed away by the Highway Patrol. A lot of times people come up to here house in the middle of the night seeking assistance. I have given her a gun and taught her how to use it. She will not open the door and calls the S.O. to deal with it as I have told her to do. She and her husband want to move but cannot yet afford to.

Today we get a call from the S.O. in the county just north of us. An unknown subject has just stolen a 2 1/2 ton bob tail truck loaded with 60 pallets of medical waste. We were given a description of the truck and nothing else. Deputy Robert was on the north end of our county and pulled over on the side of I59 to see if the truck would come by. It did. Deputy Robert got behind the truck and when he turned on the blues and the siren the truck didn't stop. He tried for 28 miles to stop the truck. The driver ran several people off the road but never got over 65 MPH. We later found out the truck had a governor that would not allow it to go any faster than that. We managed to get somebody in front of him with some spikes and he eventually ran off the road and was apprehended....right in front of my daughter's house.

Hollis was driving the stolen medical waste truck. We found out that Hollis and his girlfriend Eunice had a fight at a gas station and Eunice sped off and left him. The only thing around that he could catch her with was the truck. By the time he figured out the truck was governed to 65 MPH Eunice was long gone and Deputy Robert was behind him with those pesky blue lights. I can only imagine what was going on in his head. My daughter called me earlier tonight fussing about wanting to move again. I told her she couldn't afford to right now and besides that where else would she get all those stories for the newspaper she works for?

Man! Her house doesn't sit on the site of an old indian burial ground or something, does it? That would be too weird if this stuff followed her when she finally does manage to move away from there.

Probably something to the notion of Bermuda triangle of 'psychic leprosy' and spiritual waste dumps....look at what happens in Washington DC!!! Or around any state capitol building....

There's a road here in Ca. where cars supposedly roll up hill. Your daughter might live over an antigravitational portal stargate vortex. Like the one in my back room that takes dropped gun screws and springs and sucks them into another dimension never to be seen again.

My votex spits them back out, but not until AFTER I have bought replacements.

Sounds like someone's misplaced their magic magnet :)

Tell her to put a a web cam and sell a lot of ads. They will have enough money to move before you know it.

If they could *prove* what's going on they could probably get big bucks for the place on eBay! There's a bunch of folks out there that would think this is just too cool...

It seems that the road and right away needs improvement, there has got to be a reason so many wrecks occur. Bravo for making sure your family can protect themselves. Lastly, did this many incidents occur bwhen the other people lived there??
