I don't reload for 9mm but have a conversion kit for it. I noticed today that it has 3 carbide resizing dies. All are marked "9 mm" but each has a number engraved. #1, #3, #4. I can't find out on the net nor can I get a call answered on their Watt line. Have any ideas?

As Al says on Tool Time, "I don't think so, Tim."

The numbers stand for position 1, 3, and 4 in the loading sequence.

#1 is the sizer/decapper station, #3 is the seating, and #4 is the final crimp.

It's in the Dillon instructions for assembling the press.

No they are not. Read the instructions.
At first glance they all look like sizing dies, but they aren't. That's why they numbered them so you would not put them into the wrong holes.

Maybe what's confusing me is that they all have a carbide ring. My 45 acp and 38 special have it only in the resizing die. Thanks for the response.

Totally off topic, but wow, haven't seen that in a long time. We're getting pretty old to remember this.

Is Watt a misnomer? ChuckS1, you're dead-on about my age. I face every day with the knowledge of my being an anachronism. My skivies are probably older than a bunch of folks. I was cheered by an E-mail I got from a friend a few minutes ago. Some guys came to work on his chimney today. One was 70 and the other was in his 80s. Those South Dakota Germans are a tough lot.
