One of the competitive female shooters at my range had this tool while shooting today. I was amazed and thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread!

I have a catch net I use and also a small plastic flower/shrub rake along with one of those folding janitor dust pans.

After seeing this in operation I am ordering one! Just roll it around, it grabs the brass, then put it over the bucket and the metal hook thing opens a gap in the wires and out the brass falls. Yes, it works just like the videos on this and other web sites. No, I have nothing to do with the company. I wish I had one years ago for a house I lived at that had Sweet Gum Trees. Stepping on those prickly things was a real pain!

About as close to a brass "magnet" as you can get!

That's the slickest thing I've seen in a long time! Thanks for sharing that link.

At our range which is fine limestone, they get a lot of rock. Also they pick up all brass, not just the stuff you want. You don't have to bend, but they do not save a lot of time. The cowboy shooters use a pick up tong sort of tool, and drop the brass in a bucket. Kind of like they sell for seniors to get things off shelves, but with a pair of suction cups. Like this Gopher Pick-Up Tool | Canadian Tire You would not think they would pick up like they do.

Do not buy them for the sweet gum balls--It works at best very poorly.

Well I went through the check out to see what their "small shipping fee" was. It is $15 or so.

I do not think I want one that bad for $60.:(

It is pretty neat however.

Gopher Pick-Up Tool

I was able to pick up a Gopher tool locally for $5.95 at grocery outlet, even has a built-in light. Looks like the real ticket for picking up range brass selectively, especially for senior shooters like me that have trouble bending over. Not sure but I think some of the big box stores like Wally
World or Target should have them.

I stopped most of the brass collecting nonsense (ahem!) some time ago when I started shooting mostly revolvers. My favorite caliber is the .45 ACP but I run them through a pair of 625's.

So THERE!! LOL

I have used one of the brass pick up tools and they DO work and work well.

YMMV
