The old grey dog ain't what he used to be, but he is still around...

Angus, you have the look of a philosopher, one who has seen it all and learned from it. Clearly you've taken wonderful care of your pet biped, for which you are to be blessed as you have blessed him.

Happy birthday. Live as long as you can find quiet pleasure in your life.

Happy 98th Angus!

It's a dog thing... you wouldn't understand!

A 14 YO BullMastiff is a rare treat.
Yeah, I don't think he expected that he'd last this long, I sure didn't!:D

It's funny, though. As a respiratory therapist, I work with lots of old people in the hospital and they are constantly complaining about getting old and worn out and their aches and pains. A dog doesn't know he's old, he just knows that maybe he needs to slow down now, otherwise it hurts, or prefers to lay on softer beds or closer to the heater. He takes life as it comes, never questioning it, just adapting and working within his limitations. I'd say a lot of us could learn a thing or two from old grey dogs.

That's about as well as it could be said, and I agree 100%.

Happy Birthday Angus! Nothing more rewarding than the companionship of a great dog. The dog gives much more than he takes...
