I sure enjoy Living in the old West.....

If you come to my Door and ask for a Glass of water, based on 1800's Law, I must give you one....

So Now, and i am not in anyway being sarcastic, I think what the AZ Legislator is Awesome and right in Line with how AZ Thinks... Similar to what we did with Immigration Laws.. which ended up mostly passing..

Check this out Guys..... http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/51leg/1r/bills/hb2291p.pdf

let me know what you think

A. A public servant or a federally licensed dealer who sells firearms in this state shall not enforce or attempt to enforce any act, law, statute, rule or regulation of the United States government relating to a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition that is owned or manufactured commercially or privately in this state and that remains exclusively within the borders of this state.

So, you really think if you buy an rifle from ASA they won't make you fill out a 4473 and do a background check?

D. Any federal law, rule, regulation or order that is effective on or after January 1, 2013 is unenforceable within the borders of this state if the law, rule, regulation or order attempts to do any of the following:
2. Require any firearm, magazine or other firearm accessory to be registered in any manner.

Sorry, I'm not selling you a Suppressor without a Form 4, so now I'm a Felon either way?
If I require a Form 4 the State prosecutes, If I don't the ATF prosecutes.
Can you say rock and a hard place?

Some of the wording is just a sure way to be a test case on up to the Supreme Court.

Gunslinger, I think it rides on the definition of "personal firearm." If it isn't a "personal firearm" until it is sold to a person, then that should have no effect on current laws.

I think the point is more the message to Washington than anything substantive.

I worked at the Circle K on Deer Valley while going to school at MMI. We were required to provide water if asked. We actually kept a supply of special cups just for that.

We have a similar bill pending in Wyoming. I don't know whether it has a chance to pass or not. I understand the desire of some folks to make a statement but, honestly, the Wyoming bill makes no sense and I would say the same thing about the Arizona bill. It puts FFL dealers in an impossible situation and it is clearly unenforceable. I don't think legislatures should be wasting their time and our money debating and passing bills that they can't possibly enforce. We have enough real problems to deal with. IMHO.

I'll bet like many laws, It will be selectively enforced like a one way street.

This is not grandfathered in. New laws effective on or after now. Stops black gun, mags, etc ban.
