Had the usual suspects out of the box today for a little downrange fun.

From L to R & top to bottom.
Mod 27 from around '61, Mod 65-3, A mod 19-3 & a good ol' Mod 28-2.

Not the prettiest wheel guns but they never fail me and when I do my part the target looks like a group and not a pattern.:D

The pic makes 'em look in better condition than they are, lotsa' blue gone & finish missing from the stocks.
Quite a bit of wear, just like me.

Great looking group GF.
My 27 and 28 are the ones i take most times to the range.
Along with a couple of K-frame .22's

I find myself shooting these guns more than any others.

S&W Combat Masterpiece (pre M15)

Colt Series 70 Gold Cup .45 acp

S&W M18

M60-7 (CCW gun) which I practice with often

The other guns in my collection still do get shot, but these are my staples.

Top two look like 3" and the 19 is a 2.5 and a 4" 28? That is a a perfect collection if you ask me. The M65 is my personal favorite in all of Smith Wheeldom. A M27 and 28 in a less than 6" barrel are among my most wanted and a 2.5 inch M19 is magnum perfection. Splendid group sir!

Remember, GF, "Pretty is as pretty does." They look right pretty to me!

Very nice group of "small-caliber" S&Ws! (as Bill C. might call them :D)

Seriously, I like your picture and the guns - something us Hoosier S&W boys who don't need the really big blasters should all be able to identify with. I'd would want to throw a 6-inch 19 in there too - just for good measure. :)

Never, never, never trust your life on a "pretty" gun.

Not talking engraved you understand (although they're close).

I would trust my life with those guns for sure.

Thanks fellas', I appreciate the posts & likes.
With my guns it's kind of like the saying "more fish come in size small than large" I think more guns come in "worn" than "minty".:)

On the bbl lenghts ol' Armybass hit it on the head but the Mod 27 is a 3 & 1/2 tube.

I like to carry it to the range when the city police are there. I get asked "whatisthat!?!" as often as "CanIshootit!?!:D
