Its an excellent movie. Its out on mod DVD. It is a true story about Royal Artillery Sgt.Maj Coward. He had a major part in bringing this movie to fruition.

Keep in mind that the luft Stalag was entirely British Empire captives, and the fabulous "Trojan Horse" breakout also occurred at this same camp. The second breakout was written by one of the escapees, I believe Airey Neave, sort've as a novel that was made into a motion picture.

I've read The Wooden Horse - the first time in junior high ("klim tins" had me puzzled for a long time). Great book.

Also have the movie, though I have not watched it yet. The father from Mary Poppins is one of the prisoners.
