I know there are a lot of .32 fans on the Forum here so I thought I'd show off my latest Ruger .327 Magnum. (Click on the pics for a larger version.)

This is how it started out, with an ad in the Classifieds on this forum. .32 caliber cylinders don't turn up every day so when I saw this one, I bought it.

(2) 32 magnum cylinder for Ruger Blackhawk. This is from a
Buckeye Special and has never been used.

Then I found a relatively inexpensive beater .357 Blackhawk on Gunbroker. Some ugly rust but mostly on the barrel and cylinder, which would not be used anyway.

Then I took them to my gunsmith September 2022. He deepened the chambers to .327 depth in the cylinder, and removed the old barrel and cylinder and polished the rust off of the frame and parts. Then we waited nearly a year for a .32 caliber Lothar Walther barrel blank to become available. Once he got that, it went together pretty quick.

Now I have a gun with three caliber markings on it - .327 Federal Mag on the barrel, .357 Magnum on the frame and .32 H&R Magnum on the cylinder.

I just picked it up a few days ago so I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

Congrats on your build. I've be casually looking for an older blued 10.5" Super Blackhawk, but not a priority as I have a beauty with a 5.5". As a fellow fan of 32 wheel guns, that is probably a perfect platform for the 327! Great idea on your part! Bill in MA

A 10-1/2" Super Blackhawk is one of my earlier guns, bought back in 1981 when I was shooting IHMSA metallic silhouettes. Then in '83 I transitioned to a 10-1/2" Ruger SRM in .357 Remington Maximum.

From left to right:
9-1/2" Single Six in .22LR (with .22WMR cylinder not shown)
9-1/2" Single Six in .32 H&R Magnum
Custom 8-3/4" Single Seven in .327 Federal Magnum, discussed here: The seldom-seen 8-3/4" Ruger Single Seven .327 Magnum
Custom 10-1/2 Blackhawk in .327 Federal Magnum (from the original post)
10-1/2" SRM in .357 Remington Maximum
10-1/2" Super Blackhawk in .44 Remington Magnum

For comparison, here's the Blackhawk .327 with the Single Seven .327.

Very curious how well it is going to shoot with that barrel. That pistol is gorgeous.
