Does anybody have any experience with the AAC blackout flash hiders?
The ones from AAC or for the 300BLK round?
A lot of the multi finger flash hiders ring like a tuning fork after each shot. If they are heat treated it's bad and the longer they are the worse the ring.
If you want someone to pinpoint your position for a few seconds after you shoot, get the tuning fork.
The short three prong FH from the Viet Nam era don't ring.

I meant the AAC 7.62 blackout flash hider, not 300BO, sorry if that wasn't clear. I had no idea they were noisy tho, and mainly wanted to replace the huge birdcage with something less gaudy whilst still hiding the flash. When you say short, would the AAC Brakeout fit the bill? AAC Brakeout FSC, 7.62mm, 51T, 5/8-24 TPI
