I know some of you already know am from Texas. Love the place and when I die, I will be cremated and my ashes will be sown with the west Texas winds. So, you should surmise I am proud of Texas.

However I saw something my wife showed me today. It was shared with her on Facebook. It was posted by some one named Lil O.

You've all seen this sign when you come into Texas from another state

Sign says, "Welcome to Texas" and at the bottom it says "Don't Mess With Texas".

underneath it has the following lines:

"Our citizens have concealed weapons"
"If you kill someone, we will kill you back"
"We enjoy gun fights - it's a Texas tradition"
"We have 120 prisons - enjoy your stay"

I don't know if this is an actual sign but sure looks like it. Probably a fake but sure is funny.

I'm driving out of/back to Texas on Tuesday...I'll see what the Texas sign says when I'm on the way back home and report in.

I drove across texas in april to see my son in el paso.I didn't see any signs like that but it is funny!! By the way it was my wifes first time to drive all the way thru texas,by day 2 she didn't think me playing the song( miles and miles of texas)
was funny.

I expect that maybe some signs are different, but the one here in El Paso says "Welcome to Texas" and then below "Drive friendly-the Texas way!" That always makes me laugh.

There was a sign when going into Florida from the north that read "Keep Florida green bring money." That was painted on a barn roof. That should tell you how long ago that was.
