......is set to open Saturday in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Many years in becoming a reality, it is located on the banks of the Arkansas River.
The museum is not a Fort Smith museum nor an Arkansas Musum. It is the National Museum for our country's oldest and by far most respected Federal law enforcement agency.
Very refreshing to visit a National Museum with out going to DC.
Next time you are traveling I 40 it is worth making a stop to see this new Museum. The exhibits are outstanding. In the hall of honor for line of duty losses of the Marshal's Service you see names of the fallen.
One name is DUSM Frank Dalton. If you turn around and gaze out the window across the Arkansas River you are looking at what was once Indian Territory and the location where he was killed.
Yes, he was a Brother to members of the Dalton gang.
