A far as the hard to find ammo issue, ammo IS availble if you know where to look. I've tried this company's ammo and liked it.

But a basic reloading set-up can pay for itself after you've loaded a couple hundred rounds. The Lee hand press is something I've used for many years and they sell for about 25 bucks the Lee dies are as good as any other I've used and that's another 25 bucks. I also like the Lee hand primer but for scale and powder measure I like RCBS and they can be found on ebay for a third of the original price.
Then if you really want to save money you can even cast your own bullets and all you need is a 1200+ watt hotplate and a used revereware saucepan fom a thrift shop, a ladle and a bullet mold.
