Coming from NEW England, I agree. What you call the growth/money addicts would pave over their mother's grave if there was a buck to be made. In their insatiable thirst for growth and tax revenue, EVERYTHING is expendable. But hey, small price to pay to live in a "Free State"

Running cities and states has, at least in modern times, always been a business. Usually a business very poorly managed by amateurs and charlatans.
We need to preserve our historic places including battlefields . We don't need more parking lots , malls , business parks and/or developments.
