The Walther P99

I had a German made P99 with a slide mounted decocker and it was a terrific pistol, very accurate, relatively light, concealable. I couldn't get used to the different trigger modes. There were three, if I remember correctly: not precocked, precocked, and reset in decreasing pull. I loved the admonition in the manual. Something like, "If you want the gun to fire, pull the trigger." Simple enough.

I own and shoot both the S&W99AS and Walther P99QA. Both great guns, reliable and very accurate considering their short barrel elngths. I particularly like their unique ambidextrous mag release.
