The what did you just purchase thread

OKOKOK......so I visited my LGS the other day and was looking at a bunch of 1911s. They didn't have any Dan Wessons in (which I was real interested in looking at), but there was one of the new Colt Governments that they are building for Specops. There were bunches of things to like, but it's a rail gun and I really don't want one of those. I looked at the R1 Remington and wasn't real impressed. They had a case full of Sigs there, and I saw one of the Traditional two tone models. The ones I've shot in the past felt a little wierd, poor triggers and all, but I decided to look at that one anyway since it reminded me of some of the old school customs I used to like. So, pulled it out of the case, and that thing was tight! No gap in the bushing, no slop in the link, frame to slide fit as tight as the Dan Wessons, and best of all a pretty darn crisp trigger for a Series 80. Only thing that wasn't my favorite was the forward serrations on the slide. So I put half down on it, and will pick it up in a week or so. Pics to come!

Oh, and a little more than half the cost of a DW,,,,,,,

I just got an SR-22PBT last night. Got to shoot it this morning. Had a couple friends over and we all shared. I've been smiling all day.
SR-22P
S&W M&P 15-22
Kel-Tek P32
Ruger 22/45
Kimber 45
Bretta .380
Soo much fun!!

A second model 44spl. HE. 1920 vintage. Will be here next week. Yahoo!!!!!!!!

another pair of new model vaqueros this time in blued 357 4 5/8 barrel .
i got them for CAS so they will get beat on...but compared to my other pair made only about 5 years ago, i have to say the fit and finish on these revolvers is terrible the blueing seems kinda second rate as well. they are intended for competition not looking at ,so as long as they are as reliable i can overlook the sloppy appearance.1558.00 out the door
i wish S&W would make me a pair of no. 2s in 38 spl. or bring back the no 3s . then id have some swank competition revolvers i could be proud to show off

Nothing, most all my money that doesn't go for food and shelter goes to support my local, state and federal governments. They think they need it more than I do.

I've got a shooter grade M-41 but have been looking for a complete, unmolested early gun with the 7 3/8" barrel and a muzzle brake. Found this one on the forum last week.

The smooth grips are not original....this is a safe queen...I had a set of factory, smooth rosewoods from 1975 so on it they go.

I'm HAPPY. M-41 scratch...itched.

Just received notice that the Dillon SDB press I ordered has been shipped. Time to burn some serious powder!!!

I got this about half an hour ago. Paid my "garage sale guy" $25, he had $14 in it. Crystal clear optics, made in Japan (not China yay) and has a set of Kwik-Site rings/mount from who knows what rifle. I will put it on a 10-22 that has a $10 Chinese red dot that works "some of the time." Hope I didn't get took too bad. Gotta take the dogs off my friend so he thinks of me first when he stumbles into a treasure trove. Joe

I've posted up on this in previous posts but Here's a pic of the Chiappa 1911-22 I love the way it looks and feels and it is fun to shoot but as I have stated previously it is not very accurate. I took it to a gunsmith to see about some alternative sights and was told that it was such a cheaply made gun that he wouldn't touch it.

I bought it used and practically got it for nothing so I don't feel to bad. It ain't much of a shooter but it is a fine paper weight. And at least...at the very LEAST I can say I own a 1911 :p :D

Ordered 1911 45acp from buds. A Tisas made in Turkey. The price was right...hope it lives up to the reviews.

Well lets see......

Started out painting the kitchen, bought primer, paint, painters tape, caulk, rollers, pan brushes

Then decided the hinges need replaced, bought pulls, hinges.

The decided needed backsplash, bought the vintage tin panels at Lowes, also trim and glue

Painting went well, then decided, we need new folding doors and trim (for the pantry)

Getting ready to apply backsplash, boy that old aluminum window looks like ****.......back to Lowes for a new vinyl window, interior/exterior trim, caulk, flashing.

After five days, finally finished........now we may get the ceiling treatments that look like planks.......
