There is so much to learn

Today I learned "brood patch"

We live about half an hour from Duke Farms, which has an "Eagle cam" on a nesting pair of bald eagles:

One thing led to another, and I looked up "brood patch"

Bald Eagles are all over us here in Calif. Most lakes have a nest or two. On a visit to Alaska 2004 the Bald Eagles were all over the docks.
