They don't make 'em like this anymore...24-3 Lew Horton!

That's another beauty John!!! I was watching that one too... just couldn't pull the trigger.. Had it in my watch folder, liked that it was already in Mass.. Mike's always got my money tide up.. been on a 66, 686 and 629 kick lately, all 2.5" and 3"...

great looking gun! I have a 624 that I rarely shoot. It's among the smoothest revolvers in my collection...the only downside is that someone removed the original grips and put some atrocious plastic stuff on there. I LOVE the look of the grips on your gun...very nice.

Both specimens posted are sweet, congratulations and good shootin!

Very nice...It makes me want to go out and buy its twin I saw last week when I had to choose between that and a 27-2 and ended up with the 27. Still might go do that...

Stunners! I've never seen those slab sided Grips before either.....I could sure live with those.....Thanks for sharing them....Zebulon

I hear that - there's something about snubbies that make me weak kneed! I might be over at the range tomorrow with it if you'd like to put a few rounds down-range

There's a few different types of combat grips that were supplied by S&W over the years. I'm not sure which type came first but both feel very different in the hand. Here's a great link to a thread from about a year ago that shows all sort of combats, slab sides included. Beware as this thread will likely make you begin to lighten your wallet!
