great looking gun! I have a 624 that I rarely shoot. It's among the smoothest revolvers in my collection...the only downside is that someone removed the original grips and put some atrocious plastic stuff on there. I LOVE the look of the grips on your gun...very nice.

There's a few different types of combat grips that were supplied by S&W over the years. I'm not sure which type came first but both feel very different in the hand. Here's a great link to a thread from about a year ago that shows all sort of combats, slab sides included. Beware as this thread will likely make you begin to lighten your wallet!

Kewl, I need to shoot... really bad..going to Aga...? I was thinking about going to PV in WS for the 12noon turkey shoot... maybe going earlier for a little range time... but the wife is missing AGA... our favorite range..
