Things Did Not Go As Planned Today, Not By a Long Shot

Was on a nothing going right fishing trip with my friend the Baptist preacher. Finally breaking down and letting a couple cuss words fly....I apologized for my language. The preacher replied: "That's OK Bob......sometimes something needs to be said!"

Reminds me of my college days, in the early 1960's. I used to buy old tires from a gas station. They were mostly the same size tires. Couple bucks, they let me pick one out of the used tire bin. They were mostly bald. I used them till they wore through the cords and blew out. I put the spare on, and repeated the process. I didn't think much about it in those days, but I am pretty anal about my tires now. A new tire on the rim was about $20 bucks then. They didn't last near as long as the new ones do. Maybe, 20K miles.

Best,
Rick

Sorry you had such trouble Snubby! I had a pursuit one time that ended with three flat tires on my patrol car. I was so hyped up when I arrested the guy I didn't realize it at first and threw him in to take him to jail. One of the other guy's pointed out that wasn't going to work! (After he finished laughing at me.)

I always like to think when I have day like that, when everything that could possibly go wrong does, best thing to do is sit back, calm down, and ride it out, because you’re getting all the bad luck out of the way.

Better days ahead for sure, Snubby.:)
That's the way I try to look at it.

According to the weather report, it was supposed to be rainy and stormy today and we weren't prepared to beat up our poor little Toyota Yaris by trying to get it up a jeep trail.
Tomorrow's supposed to be warm and sunny. There's a local clothing optional resort called Avalon and they have half price day fees on Thursdays.
We're planning on going to Avalon and going for a nice long hike. I'm gonna float in the outdoor pool and work on my all over tan then we'll make a campfire and cook some hot dogs.
Since it's all clothing optional, we won't be getting our clothes sweaty. If it rains, we'll just go to the indoor aquatics center. We've been wanting to check it out since they renovated anyway.
Relaxing in the sunshine, smoking a cigar and wearing nothing but a smile. Sounds good to me.

As the kids these days would say, TMI..!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, hope you enjoy yourself!

Many years ago I once had three flats on one fishing trip. Spent more time changing tires and running into the nearest small town to get them repaired than fishing.

Stuff happens.

Coworker just came back from a fishing trip that cost him a new transmission on his Tundra.:(
