I have learned several things in the Forum this last month I just wanted to point out.

1. A good trigger group spring set is worth its weight in gold.

2. Mobil 1 as a gun lube makes my Sport the easiest to clean I have ever seen and works great as a lube.

3. When a friend picks up your rifle and at a 100 yards shoots a string of 4 all touching it makes you feel real good. I cannot seem to get the picture off of my phone maybe Crracer or Bharada can load it.

4. Free Floating a Sport Barrel is worth it.

5. I dont need an 8-32x42 Scope the 6-24x50 gives a better field of view and still enables me to be accurate at quite a bit of distance.

You mean this one? :D

thanks Bill, I cant seem to get my pics uploaded from my new phone. Yeap those were the shots, it was the very first time he had shot my rifle and thats a 3" Shoot-n-C target. I was very happy when someone else picks up your rifle for the very first time and shoots a group like that it means you have done something right. I need to go to the right 3 clicks and down 1 but still there is a lot to be said for free floating the Sports Barrel.

My friend Joel shot those shots off of the bipod on my rifle, wasnt using a rear rest, shooting across the hood of my pickup. I put the rifle length free float tubular handguard and moved the bipod further out, it actually is in front of my gasblock, seems to steady it up a lot more. He is former Army and also former LEO, now he is like me disabled so we go shooting together sometimes. Our goal yesterday was to sight in the irons with the holographic sight on his BMaster. Took quite a bit of adjustment with his front sight post before we got it but got it tuned in with under 15 shots. He then asked if he could shoot mine. It was the first time he shot it, he says the trigger feels like 3 1/2 lbs, I polished the trigger and put in a spring kit. Well worth the time and $15 dollars. Now he is thinking about real optics

JaPes thank you for the compliment, I just enjoy working on things but now that I have my rifle where basically for me it is perfect I am having to find something else to do soooooo. I have a new barrel and my sport upper and the quadrail and gas block I used to have on my sport and a new gas tube. Now I will find a good BCG and probably a Delaware Lower and going to start all over. So lets see what I dream up now.

OK....now that you are convinced Mobil1 is a great gun lube.....let's talk about ATF. It really is better than syn motor oil. It cleans better.....and it adheres better to the metal. It doesn't migrate like motor oil does.

Try it, you'll like it! ;)

I agree plus the atf has better corrosion resistance.

You forgot number 6:

You get to spend time shooting with family and friends!:D

ATF = Automatic Transmission Fluid

or, knowing this crowd, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms hahaha

A word of caution, there is someone selling "new" 5.56 barrels on eBay for $120. The barrels are 1-8 twist,not chrome lined. The barrel looks very good and is straight. Here is the word of caution, if you look at the gas port it is more than twice the size of the M&P gas port which is supposedly over gassed so if you are going to purchase one know that you will need an adjustable gas block to go with it. Something I learned along the way.
