Ok, so new to guns. Got 4 in the last month. I just hate the whole I can't get ammo. So every time I am at Dick's or walmart I see if they have any. I now have 650rds of .40 for me. 300 rds 38/357 for wife and 700+ for the kids 22! Time to stop for awhile. Kids have a single shot rascal so I think it will take some time to fire off 700!

700 will go faster then you think. I have a buddy who can put 100 22lr rounds thought a single shot in less then 1hr.

If that amount is a problem I'd hate to see what you think of my ammo hoarding.

Problem?

It's only a problem when you run out. No such thing as having too much ammo.

Most true affectionados have thousands of rounds in each caliber, or have the ability to load thousands of rounds in each caliber that they own. You can never have too much. And for the folks who have a nice inventory, they're feeling pretty good these days....

My grandson can shoot a lot 22's in a short time. My grand daughter just started shooting last weekend. I always give 22 shells to the grand kids for Christmas and their birthdays. Buy them if you see them for sale.

Currently I have an M&P AR and I'm getting a M&P .40 with my tax money. My goal this year is to have a few thousand rounds of each built up aside from what I shoot. Id also like to get into reloading b/c I am going to keep all the brass I do shoot.

You did well starting the childen off with a single shot.
They will learn to take their time and try to make their shots hit the target. Close,is even a fun thing! Nothing like a little friendy competition in the family,to improve shooting skills.

Wait till you get them a semi-auto and a 100 round box only last 7 reloads !
NOW, you have a problem.
