I'm thinking about getting a 4006 and I was wondering what the recoil is like on it? I have an M&P 40 and a Gen 4 Glock 22 and the recoil is not bad. I fired my dad's Sigma the other day it was pretty rough. Is it closer to the M&P or more like the Sigma? Thanks in advance.

Don't have a M&P or a Sigma, but the 4006 is pretty heavy by comparison. To me, the 4006 has definately more recoil than say the 5906, or the 4506 for that matter. Still, it isn't all that bad.

Can't speak for an M&P 40 but I do have a Glock 22 and recently picked up a like new 4006. I like the 4006 the best.

It's heavy, but the weight really calms the .40 recoil well.

I've always been fond of the S&W platform and just stick them in my waistband at 8 o'clock position and no holster. Glocks still scare me for that kind of carry method.

I polished the "flats of my slide and frame slightly just to give some contrast like the old 645's.

Here's mine with a set of "Palmetto Sharpshooters" custom grips. They are great by the way!
