By far the Best !!. Run the Best!. Best members. My friend sent me a link on Facebook to check out a Facebook Concealed Group.I looked at it about a week or so. Two things one not a fan of those type groups because your name is attached. 2nd I could not believe how bad the members treated other members. Foul words personal attacks. I had to leave it ,it got that bad . I see that's the normal and it's an every day thing. We all need to give a big thanks to all moderators and management. Unless one absolutely needs to be on Facebook for professional reasons (and it does happen, but is actually a rarity), there is no good reason to be on it, to allow your kids to be on it, etc. Many popular social media (FB, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.) are so full of inexcusable conduct that I am glad I avoid them. This is especially true of anyone who works in the criminal justice system. It is almost impossible to communicate the nature of the disgusting stuff we see on a daily (hourly) basis without offending the weak (which as you might guess is not a value I think to be important).

As a clarification, I am not referring to indelicate speech. I am not sensitive about much, and it is only partially a joke that I say I live near the intersection of Asperger's and Tourette's. I also have a filter like a chain link fence, and can conjugate the all purpose part of speech with skill. I just work hard to refrain from being my real self (I have the political skills of a wolverine and should not be considered a role model) on this forum.

There are plenty of good gun forums, you just have to look.

There is one other good reason IMO. Distant family.
All of my family members live 800 or more miles away.
Facebook is a good way for us to all connect and share photos, and other info about our kids and events in our lives. It kind of serves as an information clearing-house so we don't each have to send emails to 20 different people - and possibly accidentally forget someone - for things like kid's graduations, awards, accomplishments, new jobs, new babies, people moving, marriages, etc.

If your family is all local, then maybe it wouldn't serve any purpose for you. For me, a once or twice a week browse through Facebook helps me keep in touch with and keep up with what's going on with my brother, six sisters, and couple of dozen nieces and nephews, not to mention a handful of cousins and the few surviving aunts and uncles. For that purpose it is worth using.

P.S. I turned off all notifications from Facebook so it never intrudes on my life. I only see Facebook stuff when I choose to log in. I highly recommend doing that, otherwise it will drive you nuts.
