My sister just called and said they found her son (my nephew) Dead This morning where he was living. And found a bunch of pain pills? She said she was unsure if it was suicide or an accidental OD? Not sure if they were prescribed? He just turned 40 a few months ago. Leaves three kids behind. Not much information available yet, since he lives out of state.

I haven't been around him much in 20 years. But he was always very polite to me. And one heck of a Baseball Pitcher in college. Back in the day, him and my 38 year old son were very close. And they hung out at our house almost daily when they were in their teens.

It's sad, what pills are doing to that generation. He's the 4th family member in the last 10 or so years, we've lost to the pill epidemic!

God Bless my Sister and thier entire family!!

What a gut punch that phone call must have been. I am truly sorry for your family's grief and offer up my prayers for comfort.

From what I know of you, your family has a strong set of shoulders to lean on.

In His Name.

Truly sorry to read this news, you've brought a lot to this bunch in the time you've been here and your posts reflect the feelings you have toward family.

My sincere condolences to your sister, the family he left behind and to you too, sir.

Sorry for the families loss.

If anyone is struggling might be good to get them to counseling.
My old company brought a counselor after an employee committed suicide. The counselor discussed suicide, reasons, how it impacts folks and things to watch for in others. It helped all of us.

Thank You All!

Thanks To Each And Everyone Here. For The a thoughts And Prayers!

It just broke my heart today! The boy had so much potential. He was a good kid and could've went far in baseball. But went to college and couldn't leave the women and partying alone. And leaving three children behind, is what really bothers me.

So maybe he has found peace now? And maybe we can meet up some day and talk about the good times we once shared, watching him throw 90 mph fast balls at high school level and throwing countless runners out at home plate!
