In 1974 I was involved in a gunfight w/armed robbers. Using my issued Colt DS w/high velocity round nose ammo I fired six @ the suspect through his windshield. The safety glass deflected the rounds but they did hit him doing minimal damage. When he came out of the car I reloaded and fired six more that ended the problem.

Actually they were BARs on loan from the National Guard.

There was no safe place in or around that car.
