I thought to myself as I got the meat from the freezer.

All we had left was one steak and three pork chops.

What to do? Who gets the steak?

We've been married 34 years and she's a good woman...but I really want that last steak.

Easiest decision in the World, ask your wife which she wants and give it to her. And this isn't to avoid a fight, but just because it is the right thing to do if you really care about her.

They say a fair settlement is when both parties are unhappy. So, cut the steak in half and the same with one of the porkchops as suggested above. However, when cutting the steak, let the one not cutting the steak pick which half they want.
