This just dont look right?

KNS makes a Pin Set specific to the S&W 15-22.

I wonder how they differ from the standard set? Also, what is the point of being non-rotational? Who cares if the pins rotate & how would you know? Who would want those big plates on each side of the receiver that keeps the pins from rotating?

I have to be missing something & they must serve a purpose... I just can't figure it out.

If your pins were to rotate over time they will wear the holes larger and you'll need even larger pins....basically the rotating pins would lap the lower receiver and make it larger. Not sure that a .22 would be likely to have this happen though.
 
I was wondering the same thing. Is there that much force that two bars need to be attached on each side?

Would it work instead with two threaded pins and four flat screws?

Or, center the original pins and drop a small amount of some sort of not fully curing clear glue?

That is exactly how the JP pins are. I find it hard to believe shooting a 22 is going to cause the pins to rotate so much as to damage the polymer. Besides that, don't the springs exert pressure on the pins? Is that not what holds the stock pins in place?
